The way the Tower fell was scary as fuck. Look, it didn’t just break off, it crashed down as if it was a domino effect, floor by floor. There were people in that building. Take a moment out of your day and reblog this for the people who saved lives that day and for the poor souls who didn’t make it.
the only thing PETA want to save is money not animals. learn the truth
The only good thing about PETA is the large amount of information on the site regarding veganism. It’s sad that they’re so hypocritical :(
Hypocrisy is the worst
Money makes the world go round… Greed and power. It’s all about who has the most money.
Always reblog this. A lot of the animals they kill (and they kill over 95% of the animals they take in at their Virginia Headquarters) are killed within 24 hours. Not nearly enough time to deem whether an animal is adoptable or not. They even bought a giant fridge to store the corpses!
PETA is a corporation. Not a charity. Less than 1% of their 32 Million+ annual budget actually goes to directly helping animals. Most of it is spent making sexist/racist/ domestic abuse supporting commercials that won’t even air on television, giving bail outs to convicted arsonists and criminals, hiring/supporting any celebrity that claims to be vegetarian for five minutes, creating campaigns to target children (“Your mom kills animals”), fruitless lawsuits like suing Sea World for violating the constitution, and most recently, making porn. I’m not against porn, but I fail to see how it fucking helps animals.
PETA does not give a shit about animals.
Plus, these assholes have the gall to insult Steve Irwin.
the information on veganism that PETA provides is completely inaccurate, none of these jackasses have EVER cracked a book on nutrition.
People who support PETA make my stomach turn actually.
The suffix “-ality” is actually a compound of two suffixes.
The first one is the derivational suffix “-al” that, in this case, turns the noun into an adjective. A good example for this is the aforementioned “person-al-ity”. The noun “person” is turned into the adjective “personal”. The suffix “-al” usually sets something into relation or describes the quality of something (“This is very personal to me.”)
The second suffix, also derivational, “-ity” usually turns adjectives into nouns. Again, “person-al-ity” is a great example for this. The introduction of the suffix “-al” before is not just happening for phonemic reasons, but also to give the word the meaning it’s supposed to have. Instead of just going from “person” to “personity”, or just keeping the word “person”, the language introduces “-al” to add the quality aspect to the word. The suffix “-ity” usually has the same meaning and is used with words that want to descrive a state or a quality of something.
That leaves us with the conclusion that “-ality” is usually used to form a noun describe a state and/or a quality of something or someone (“He has a great personality.”)
In the case of homosexuality, the only suffix we actually see nowadays (I don’t know the exact etymology of the word and how it has formed to what it is today) is “-ity”, since “homosexual” is a word with full lexical meaning.
“Homosexuality” is therefore not a disease, not from a linguistic point of view nor from a medical one, but the quality or rather state of a person’s sexuality. Just as “heterosexuality”.
It also is not a choice and cannot be cured.
